Description:
Participants will discover how to weave a reed basket; learning how to set up & form the basket, some weaving/twinning techniques, and how to add a rim. Complete basket kit for the contrasting carrier basket(kit pictured) will be provided, as well as all tools & supplies to use. This class is for ages 12 to adult (please no younger children for safety reasons).
What to Bring: Enthusiasm (all materials and tools needed to complete this project will be provided). Wear comfortable, casual clothing (this can get messy), and bring a sack lunch if you wish. This workshop emphasizes the use of hand tools, students should have moderate hand strength.
