Cherokee High School would like to ask for your assistance in encouraging our students to participate in our athletic programs.  Studies show that pride in facilities can be a major motivator for student athletes. With that goal in mind, we are renovating our weight room and making plans for summer workouts.  The renovations that we hope to make will cost $20,000.  The renovation includes $12,000 in new weight equipment, new flooring, updating the space with new paint and other needed modifications, and installing a refueling station for the athletes.  The students use the weight room throughout the school year as well as during our summer workout program, which runs from June 1-July 29 (Monday-Thursday) this year for a total of 35 days.  We would like to provide protein supplement drinks and workout gear for our athletes during the summer for an additional cost of $3,000.

We need community participation in our CHS Booster Club as well! We will have a Booster Club Meeting for all parents, former athletes, and the Cherokee Community on Sunday, April 10 at 3:00 in the school cafeteria. We would love for you to all come out so you can learn more about what we are doing for the Student Athletes of Cherokee and how you can be a part of these exciting programs.
