Beginning Monday, December 19, 2022 through Friday, December 23, 2022, the City of Gadsden is offering free transportation on its D.A.R.T. and Trolley systems to show appreciation to its riders for Christmas.

“This is just a small token of appreciation for those residents who use our transportation services on a regular basis,” said Mayor Craig Ford. “With Christmas coming, we wanted to take the opportunity to provide some small relief to these valuable members of our community.”

Mayor Ford approved the temporary fee waivers as many residents prepare for final Christmas shopping and gather supplies for an incoming cold snap.

Anyone with questions about routes or rides can contact the city’s Transportation Services department at 256-543-3278.
