Leadership Etowah 2022 Graduates, 2023 Class Announced
Leadership Etowah is an exclusive program of The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah County, Inc. which each year brings together a limited class of participants for ten one-day retreats, focusing on a series of issues-oriented forums and based on the believe that knowledge is a key element and prime motivator of leadership.
“The 2022 year of The Chamber’s Leadership Etowah program was yet another impactful year on our class taking them throughout every aspect of our community and fully immersing them in what makes Etowah County such a special place to call home.” said Will Mackey, VP of Operations at The Chamber. “It is always amazing to me the changes you see in each member of the class after spending a year in this intense experience.”
“The program is such a valuable asset to the mission we have at The Chamber,” he added. “It brings local professionals from all career levels together to show them all of wonderful things that our community has to offer which so many are unaware of. Lighting that flame for each year’s class and knowing that we are working to improve our community, that makes it all worth it every single year for us.”
Graduates of this year’s program are: Catherine Anderson of Crown Beauty Supply, Amy Hodge of Alabama Power Company, Courtney Linam of TeamOne Automotive Group, Corey McWhorter of Regions Bank, Destin Mince of Frios Pops, Kip Rapp of The Joint Chiropractic, Valerie Roberts of Gadsden State Community College, Tiffany Works of Gadsden Regional Medical Center, and Eric Wright of Etowah County Extension Office.
The class of 2023 was also formally announced by The Chamber and will begin sessions in January. The new class members are: Megan Phillips Huizinga of Knowles & Sullivan LLC, Blake Ragsdale of City of Southside, Ross Morgan of Alabama Power Company, Shalon Steed of Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, Robyn Philips of United Way of Etowah County, John Roberson of Gadsden State Community College, Sydney Gunter of Advantage Properties, Allison Nessler of Family Success Center, Daniel Cooner of Regions Bank, Christopher Fagan of Family Savings Credit Union, Kelly Martin of Jacksonville State University, and Angie Sparks of Liberty Learning Foundation.
