78.3% of Etowah County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 103,468 citizens living in Etowah County in 2021, 78.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 81,038 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 38,700 were male, constituting 47.8%, and 42,338 were female, making up 52.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Etowah County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.5%.
